Kshitij is the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, one of India’s top technical institutions. It began in 2004 to offer a national platform for young, talented people to showcase their skills and be recognized.
Since its early years, Kshitij has grown rapidly, attracting participants from around the world. Its official website, http://www.ktj.in. This is the largest student-run site. It has recorded 8 million clicks in one edition.
Kshitij hosts a variety of events covering both technology and management, aiming to develop a scientific and logical mindset in young people. Well-known organizations like ACM, IEEE, INCOSE, ASHRAE, and IMechE certify many of the fest’s events, which means the students will get the certification.
The Kshitij will cover societal issues through social initiatives in partnership with organizations like UNICEF. Workshops are held nationwide, offering participants hands-on experience to improve their technical skills.
The three-day event of Kshitij will have inspiring guest lectures, exhibitions, and Megashows. The 22nd edition of Kshitij will take place from January 17th to 19th, 2025, at IIT Kharagpur, under the supervision of UNESCO, SAYEN & CEE, and Make In India.

Accommodations
Kshitij, IIT Kharagpur, has been welcoming participants from all over India since it started in 2004. Over the years, the fest has grown significantly, both in the number of participants and the variety of events, now hosting up to 70,000 people in more than 37 events.
Each year, it becomes easier to accommodate everyone, The institute thanks all the participants for the excitement and energy. The institute feels exemplary seeing such a large crowd on the campus of IIT Kharagpur, the oldest and largest of all IITs.

How do I know whether my payment is confirmed?
Your confirmation is not final until you receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. If you don’t receive it, please email your transaction ID, Kshitij ID, name, and amount to [email protected] with the subject: (Transaction ID:: Team ID:: Confirmation email not received).
What are the documents that guests have to carry?
- Any official government photo ID.
- A printout or screenshot of the email confirmation.
- A valid college ID for participants.
Shall I carry my ID card with me?
All guest participants must bring their college IDs for their convenience. You will need to show your college ID when you are given a room in the hostels.
What are the accommodation charges?
The accommodation cost is INR 1649 per person for 3 days. A maximum stay of 3 nights is allowed. If participants arrive a day earlier than the specified dates, they will need to pay an additional INR 499 per person.
